Giveaway win and bloglovin

I won a giveaway!

Lovely Barbara over at busy fingers, busy life had a giveaway on her blog a couple of weeks ago and today a package from her arrived at my front door:

It was so much fun to open up a gift wrapped with ribbon!

The prize was a lovely cotton scarf with the prettiest crochet detail on the border

Thank you so much Barbara for such a nice prize! It's prefect for the spring time when I love to use a light scarf.

Please, go visit Barbara over on her blog and say hi. She makes beautiful things :)

Today I've signed up to bloglovin'. I've added the gadget on the side of this blog underneath my followers button if you want to follow me there too.

I need to spend a bit of time there and get used to the layout of it and when I do I'll be adding the blogs I follow there too because when google reader disappears, I want to be ready! I don't want to miss out on any of my favourite blog updates.

And earlier this week I saw this picture on Facebook:

Girl crocheting - Pierre-Auguste Renoir

It's an 1875 painting by Renoir called 'Girl Crocheting'. I think I just discovered my favourite painting!

Are we going to be able to still post on blogspot?
It's all a mystery to me. can you give me any pointers?

  5. Hey Elisabeth!
You have such a beautiful blog! I love this scarf with the crochet edging, it is beautiful! I have done edgings on wash-cloths (you would call them face cloths) and also handkerchiefs but never on such a lovely cotton scarf! I will go to your friend Barbara and tell her I love it!
I hope to be up to your level of crocheting one day...I have only been crocheting for about 40 years! It's true, and I am still not an expert! :-)

  9. Congratulations on the giveaway. I'm just getting used to Bloglovin myself. I'm still going down my list of blogs I read on my blog but then go over to Bloglovin and tick off the ones I have read, the ones I mark as 'like' is if there is any information I need to make a note of. Getting there. Chel x
